Sabor a Libertad es un proyecto autogestionado dirigido a crear un espacio para destacar arte cuir caribeñe, puertorriqueñe y diverse. Nos unimos porque nos mueve la pasión de crear con propósito, educar y hacer activismo a través del arte. El proyecto inició en septiembre 2020 en San Juan, Puerto Rico (aunque existía desde el 2017 como blog en las redes sociales). Conoce más sobre quiénes somos aquí.
Sabor a Libertad is an indie project aimed at creating a space to highlight Caribbean, Puerto Rican, and diverse queer art in different media. We come together because we are driven by the passion to create with purpose, educate, and advocate through art. The project went online in September 2020 in San Juan, Puerto Rico (although it originated in 2017 as a microblog on social media). Learn more about who we are here.

Creating art in clothing and accessories for everyone
Todes queremos ropa que nos represente y afirme. Sabemos que la ropa es una herramienta para expresar nuestre género y que no existen alternativas seguras para que la comunidad LGBTQ+ pueda obtenerla. Reconociendo la necesidad existente nos enfocamos en crear ropa para todes les cuerpes. Celebrarnos como personas cuir, trans, no-binaries y género no-conformes es un acto de resistencia que podemos potenciar. We all want clothing that represents and affirms us. We understand that clothing is a tool for expressing our gender, and safe alternatives are not readily available for the LGBTQ+ community. We focus on designing for all bodies and celebrating ourselves as queer, trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming individuals as an act of resistance to empower ourselves.
Mercado Queer
Nuestra iniciativa del Mercado provee una plataforma para que personas no-binaries, trans y cuir de Puerto Rico puedan dar a conocer y remunerarse por su arte. Compartiendo herramientas , recursos y un espacio-taller nos sostenemos. Lee más acerca de lo que andamos construyendo aquí.
Our Mercado Queer initiative provides a platform for non-binary, trans, and queer individuals from Puerto Rico to showcase and be compensated for their art. By sharing tools, resources and a collaborative workshop space we sustain ourselves. Read more about what we are building here.
